This is a perfect addition to breakfast when you have overnight guests because what, after all, smells better than bread baking with butter, cinnamon, and nuts? The real winner will be you, because this is so easy to throw together right before you go to bed. Well, maybe the real winners will be your guests when they dig into the warm, buttery sticky buns, all gooey with butter and cinnamon! What a happy, happy way to begin the day!
Effortless Overnight Sticky Buns
Spray a tube cake pan with Pam Cooking Spray
Layer the following in this order:
2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 (24 oz.) bag Rich’s Frozen Dinner Rolls
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 (3 oz.) box Jell-O brand vanilla or butterscotch regular pudding (not instant)
Generous amount of ground cinnamon
1 stick Cabot butter, sliced
Place filled pan, uncovered, in a cold oven on bottom rack in the evening. In the morning, lay a piece of foil over the top of the pan and, with the pan in the cold oven, turn the oven on to 375 °. Bake for 30 minutes, counting from the time you turn on the oven. Remove the foil and bake for 10 minutes more. Immediately invert onto a platter and serve, scraping all the syrup onto the rolls. This feeds a hungry crowd of six to eight happy people.
