Effortless Overnight Sticky Buns & Puppy Love on the Farm

This is a perfect addition to breakfast when you have overnight guests because what, after all, smells better than bread baking with butter, cinnamon, and nuts? The real winner will be you, because this is so easy to throw together right before you go to bed. Well, maybe the real winners will be your guests when they dig into the warm, buttery sticky buns, all gooey with butter and cinnamon! What a happy, happy way to begin the day!

Effortless Overnight Sticky Buns

Spray a tube cake pan with Pam Cooking Spray
Layer the following in this order:
2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
3/4 c. brown sugar
Generous amount of ground cinnamon
1 stick Cabot butter, sliced

Place filled pan, uncovered, in a cold oven on bottom rack in the evening.  In the morning, lay a piece of foil over the top of the pan and, with the pan in the cold oven, turn the oven on to 375 °.  Bake for 30 minutes, counting from the time you turn on the oven. Remove the foil and bake for 10 minutes more.  Immediately invert onto a platter and serve, scraping all the syrup onto the rolls.  This feeds a hungry crowd of six to eight happy people.

Puppy Love on the Farm
Rock & Brody
Our friend brought his lab puppy over to meet our Brody. Believe it or not, these puppies will be hunting pheasants in Nebraska this coming November. Right now, all they're thinking of is play time. Rock needs to grow up a bit to be able to wrestle with Brody. Now he's just a pebble.

Brody, aged 20 weeks
Brody weighs at least 50 pounds now and has a long way to go before he grows into those big paws of his. Wonder how big he'll be when he's all grown up? He's such a happy puppy!

With love, from me to you...
GG
